I am in my final year of completing a Bachelor of Communication and Media (Corporate and Public Communication), with a Breadth Major in Events and Tourism, at the University of Canberra (UC).

 

After studying business during my college education, I knew that I wanted to study communications and media at UC. I chose to take the corporate and public communications stream because I was inspired by the Queen of Public Relations (PR) Roxy Jacenko. I now know the industry isn’t all glamour and elaborate events; it is much more. I’ve learned that every business uses communication and media every day, and it is crucial to have employees who specialise in that area. A social media presence has become a ‘must-have’ for all organisations and can help organisations effectively communicate with a wide range of diverse stakeholders.

I am very passionate about all things communications, media, PR and events and I am very excited to see where this passion leads me in my career.
